Imogen Thomas is the Chief Executive Officer and a founding board member of Common Ground Project, bringing nearly two decades of experience leading purpose-driven organisations across food systems, preventative mental health, and social impact. She is known for guiding organisations through complexity and transition, strengthening governance, financial sustainability and strategic clarity while staying grounded in values and community.

Imogen works at the intersection of evidence, partnerships and lived experience, helping organisations play a credible and ethical role in shifting the systems that shape how food is grown, shared and valued. She has led multi-million-dollar budgets, diverse teams and complex cross-sector partnerships, and is trusted by Boards to balance long-term impact with operational rigour.

Outside of work, Imogen finds grounding in growing food, cooking and sharing meals with friends and family, and spending time outdoors — practices that continue to shape her belief in food as a powerful connector between people, place and change.
