Jayne Strickland

CATERING AND EVENTS COORDINATOR

Jayne grew up in Barwon Downs, a small country town in the Otways, where she lived at the General Store. She moved to Melbourne to pursue her love of art and food, completing a Bachelor of Education and Visual Arts at Melbourne University and honours in Fine Art at RMIT, and a Certificate 4 in Cookery.

After her studies Jayne returned to the Surf Coast, where she has lived since 1998. She owned Kafe Kaos in Lorne for 12 years, and established and owned Ginger Monkey in Torquay for 9 years. Jayne is passionate about connecting with and feeding her family, friends and local community and is excited to be part of an organisation working to empower people through food and farming. 

Jayne is an avid gardener, homebuilder and artist,  enjoying walks along the ocean or bushland in her spare time. Her greatest loves are her two daughters.
