Madeline’s food and nutrition science background cultivates her curiosity as food hub officer to understand how our local food system impacts the way we eat at a community level.

Madeline has spent time working across various farms and small food businesses in New Zealand, Sweden and Holland. Madeline has experienced different farming landscapes and food cultures and realises how complex food and eating behaviours really are. Our individual food environments are something to be shared and celebrated however in order to heal our broken food system, planetary wellbeing and world health epidemic, we need collective openness to changing the way we feed ourselves.

Outside of being a food hub officer, Madeline enjoys making experimental food creations with her dehydrator for her next outdoor adventure, taking a walk on the slackline and doing a good downward dog.
