3-6: An Interactive Farm Tour & A Hands-On ‘Understanding Where My Food Comes From’ Workshop

  • To understand how food is grown and the benefits of eating seasonal, locally grown produce.

Secondary

7-10: An Interactive Farm Tour & A Hands-On ‘Transforming Our Food System’ Workshop

Learning Intentions

  • To explore farming practices that contribute to building a resilient food system.

  • To foster care and connection to land, food and our community.

  • To understand that food has an environmental footprint and that eating seasonal, locally grown produce is a way to reduce this impact. 

11-12: An Interactive Farm Tour & A Hands-On ‘Transitioning and Participating in Our Food System’ Workshop

  • To explore farming practices that contribute to building a resilient food system.

  • To foster care and connection to land, food and our community.

  • To understand food choices and their impact, and different strategies students can apply to participate positively in a sustainable food system.

Note: Programs vary depending on year level, number of students and can be adapted to suit your specific needs or curriculum requirements of the excursion.

Duration: 3 hours
Cost: $400 per group + GST
Max 25 students per group
Capacity - 3 Groups per day (75 students total)
