Hannah’s interest in food systems and farming started through an exploration of health and a desire to understand the starting point of human nutrition; the soil. This yearning to learn more led her to working and volunteering on farms in regional Victoria and northern New South Wales. 3 years on different small scale farms has cemented the importance of living soils, and the social impacts small scale farming can have.

Hannah is passionate about the power of localised, organic food systems. She believes that engaging with our food systems as a collective not only has the power to provide us with a source of delicious nutritionally rich food, but also fosters a sense of belonging and connection to community and land. Building community and central points for people to connect and grow food together is where Hannah sees herself expending her energy.

In her spare time, she is often found in her garden at home, going on long hikes, making sourdough, and lounging around in nature.
